About Us


Finch Legal is a small boutique law firm, based in Toowoomba. Our principal solicitor and sole director, Leesa Finch, has been working in the legal industry since 2006 and was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2015. 


We assist our clients in residential conveyancing (sales and purchases), commercial transaction (such as sales and purchases of commercial land, commercial leasing, sales and purchases of business, creation of companies and Trust Deed, providing Guarantee advice and more) and basis Estate Planning needs for clients all over  Queensland.

Leesa Finch

Leesa grew up in Yeppoon, Queensland however moved to Toowoomba in 2006 where she started working in a local law firm as a Conveyancing Paralegal. Her love and passion for the job was instant and she soon commenced her Bachelor of Laws.


Since 2006, Leesa has worked in Conveyancing, Property Law, Commercial Law and Estate Planning, assisting clients all over Queensland with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.


Leesa was admitted as a solicitor in June 2015 and opened the doors of Finch Legal in 2019, with a strong mission to provide an unsurpassed service to her clients.


Leesa is currently undertaking her Masters of Law to ensure that she is providing her clients and her team a wealth of up-to-date knowledge and experience.


Leesa has an active role with clients and oversees all matters in the office, providing mentoring and support to her amazing team. 

Courtney Locke


Solicitor

BCLW; Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice; Cert III Hospitality

Courtney is a Junior Solicitor, having been admitted to the Legal Profession in the Brisbane Supreme Court in August of 2022. Courtney completed her initial studies in February of 2022 and was conferred a Bachelor of Business and Commerce majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba.  She then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology in June 2022.


Our clients will generally hear from Courtney the week before their settlement occurs, as she calculates the figures and drafts settlement statements. Courtney works closely with Leesa on most matters and is learning the ropes in all areas Finch Legal practices in, including but not limited to Residential and Commercial Conveyancing, Business Sales and Purchases, Guarantee and Guarantor Advice, Lifestyle Village Conveyancing and Estate Planning. 

 

Although Courtney is only just starting out in her legal career, she offers years of customer service and is approachable and personable. In her spare time Courtney enjoys listening to live music, and can often be found stacking shelves at Coles.

Beth is in the office Monday – Wednesday to assist with the day to day operations of Finch Legal.


Beth has many years experience in residential conveyancing and is also on hand to provide support to all of our clients where required.

Kylie McCallum

Kylie is a trusted Paralegal at Finch Legal, who now works remotely from Mackay. 


Having come from a strong background in Real Estate and Property Management, she has knowledge in all things involving Toowoomba and Mackay property. Kylie’s friendly and enthusiastic attitude makes our clients feel at ease during what can be a stressful time.


Kylie is often the first point of contact for our clients and can help with general conveyancing enquires and quotes. She works closely with clients during the early stages of their conveyancing process and helps guide them through their initial documentation.


She has 8 years’ experience within the Real Estate Industry and has worked across Australia, most recently moving from Toowoomba to settle in Mackay.  With Certificate IV in Real Estate, coupled with being a Justice of the Peace, she is now ‘having a crack’ at Conveyancing and is thoroughly enjoying working in a Law Firm.


Kylie prides herself on being approachable and enjoys creating an excellent, stress-free experience for our valued clients.
